Worship / Sunday's Place FAQ  | Child Protection Training

Children are provided with the following opportunities:

  • Nursery and toddler care during the worship service and Sunday School.
  • Children’s church during the later portion of the morning worship service.
  • After Service Programs for pre-school through high school.

Plymouth’s Children’s programs are nurturing and well-supervised under the direction of a Program Supervisor and Christian Education committee. Parents can trust their children to our caring children’s workers.  As part of Plymouth’s Child Protection Program all  workers are trained, screened and interviewed before being allowed to work in children and youth ministries to provide the safest environment for children and teens.

Nursery and Toddler Care
The space set aside for toddlers is close to everything. Parents are provided with pagers for easier communcaitons. Each room has a split top and bottom door, allowing children to move about without fear of open doors. Nursery and Toddler Care isn't limited to service times. during many church functions, the nursery will be open to allow parents to fully participate in an event!

Children's Church
During the Sunday morning service, a special time has been set aside for chiuldren pre-school to 5th grade. They begin with their family in the regular service, are escorted to the Children's Church location by the Leader and for the duration of the Sunday Service, enjoy a youth-focused participatory gathering designed for kids!

After Service Programs for All Ages
For all ages. Caring, Christ centered, age-appropriate teaching and activities describes the various groups gathered after the main service. From youth programs beginning at pre-school through 90 years young, our groups provide an opportunity to grow as individuals, in a group, the Plymouth communiity and beyond the walls of the physical building.

Young adults participate in weekend and weeklong trips, adventures and much more. Adults do much of the same, many small groups meet at homes to share dinners, activities and growing in faith.

Come join After Service Programs. We have a lot to offer!

What is Child Protection?
Plymouth is committed to providing the safest environment for children and teens. Plymouth established a child protection policy which requires active church membership, training, background check and an interview with every person who will work with children in youth ministries.

If you like to work with youth and want to know more about the Child Protection Training, please contact the church office for details. Classes are held often. Please see the bulletin(s) for class availability, usually conducted on a Sunday during the Sunday School hour.

You'll find a great worship at Plymouth!
